Working in our beautiful local Devon environment, feeling very blessed to, Hawkridge Farmhouse Dairy Produce take due care and diligence, with an awareness of the responsibility to our children and future generations, that it is only too important we play our part!
In addition to raising energy consumption awareness amongst our staff we have:
- Low sulphur fuel in our fleet of vans
- A commitment to modernising the fleet where possible
- Zero waste Office – all paper is erased internally and reused
- Warehouse collection of waste cardboard, baled and recycled
- LED lighting upgrade programme throughout the building
- Sensor-operated lighting throughout
- Thermostatically controlled heating and air conditioning for Office spaces using solar generated electricity where possible
- Rolling modernisation of insulation
- Sourcing plastic-free packed products where possible and an increasing number of suppliers are leading the way with this
- Moving towards biodegradable cling-wrap away from oil-based derivatives
- Low energy kitchen appliances
- Afforestation programme in the outdoor spaces around the building, creation of a Staff Garden, and we will continue to plant hedging and trees where possible
